Some people lump centering in with grounding. I agree that they are similar, but I also believe that they are very different.
Grounding, as we learned earlier, has to do with balancing the energy, and our connection to the earth. Centering, on the other hand, has to do with our place in time and space.
When we work with higher vibrations, and energies, (and as we raise our own vibrations), our spirits tend to want to stay there in that higher vibration, because they are more comfortable (this is closer to what we experience on the other side when we are not on the earthly plane). Staying in the higher energies is wonderful, but it is not keeping us in the here and now that our physical bodies exist in.
I know that this can sound a little ‘out there’, but it really is important. Since we are here to experience things, and to learn the lessons that we chose to learn, we need to be able to fully experience them.
So, centering is just being present in the here and now. Fully present. How do we do this? It is really as easy as being aware.
It is very easy to get caught up in what is going to happen, and what has already happened, and miss out on what is currently happening. Some of the thing we can experience are very subtle, and if we are not present (centered), we can miss out on something really neat, or a message that we needed to hear.
Remember, yesterday is gone and can’t be changed, and tomorrow will never get here, so right now is really all we have and can affect.
Now, go out there and be present (centered). And have fun.
